NFL Dallas Cowboys running back, Ezekiel Elliott, was involved in motor vehicle collision on May 21, 2017. He sustained a head injury as a result the car accident.
According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), a head injury are injuries to the scalp, skull, or brain caused by trauma. Brain injuries can be serious and life-threatening. Concussions are the most common types of brain injury. A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury happens when the brain is jarred or shaken hard enough to bounce the skull. A concussion causes an altercation of a person’s mental status and can disrupt the normal functions of the brain.
Since Ezekiel Elliott suffered from a head injury, it is not surprising that he will not be will participating in the Dallas Cowboys off season workouts this Tuesday and Wednesday due to a head injury he sustained in a vehicle collision. He was the passenger in the accident. It is however, reported that Elliot did not suffer any significant head injuries, but was feeling body and neck stiffness. If cleared, he will report back to practice next week. Lucky for Elliott his head injury is not worst.
