Gwen-Marie Davis Named Maryland Association for Justice President

Gwen-Marie Davis Named Maryland Association for Justice President

We are thrilled to announce that our law firm’s founder, Gwen-Marie Davis, was sworn in as the 70th Annual President of the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) this past Saturday, June 1. This is a historical presidency. Gwen-Marie is the first minority woman named as Maryland Association for Justice President.

A President’s Dinner, which took place at The Hotel at the University of Maryland College Park, followed the swearing-in ceremony. Among attendees at the dinner were fellow MAJ members, friends and family, firm employees, colleagues, and business associates.

Ms. Davis’ swearing in this past weekend marks the end of her predecessor, David A. Muncy’s, time in office.

Gwen-Marie is a 2006 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. Prior to her graduation, she served as a judicial clerk in the Baltimore City Circuit Court System. She then went on to work for a small firm in Montgomery County. Both of these experiences early in her legal career gave her exposure to and an interest in personal injury law.

Her orientation toward leadership ultimately led to her founding her own law firm, GDH Law, in Lanham, MD, several years ago. Since its inception, her legal practice has expanded to include offices in both Montgomery and Prince George’s County.

In addition to practicing law within state and federal legal systems in Maryland. Gwen-Marie Davis also represents residents of Washington, D.C. where she is also licensed. She is also authorized to practice by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The 2024-2025 Maryland Association for Justice President Comes Highly Regarded

Gwen-Marie’s appointment as President of MAJ is a great honor, especially given how fellow members voted her in for this role. This isn’t the first time her contributions to the legal field and commitment to her clients have been recognized, though. She was previously recognized as both a national and Maryland Super Lawyer. In addition, she was previously named as one of the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 40 Under 40.

Her peers aren’t the only ones who hold Attorney Gwen-Marie Davis in high esteem. Prospective clients are drawn to her for her legal expertise and unrelenting advocacy work on their behalf. Her commitment to seeing their cases through to a successful conclusion is what keeps her clients coming back when they have future legal needs and motivates them to refer her to friends and family whenever necessary.

Congratulating Lawyer Gwen-Marie Davis

Little did she know when she moved to Prince George’s County more than 30 years ago the trajectory that her life and, more specifically, her legal career would take. Her love for her local community and commitment to furthering justice in the state of Maryland has been instrumental in creating a path to the presidency.

We congratulate her on her accomplishment of being named president and send her our best wishes for a productive tenure in office.

While Gwen-Marie’s role as President of MAJ will undoubtedly keep her busy during the next year in office, she and her colleagues are still committed to helping injury victims in need of assistance. Feel free to reach out to us at GDH Law if you require attentive legal representation after getting hurt due to someone else’s negligence.
